City Beautification Ordinance Reminder
As a reminder to all residents, when mowing your lawn, you must not blow grass clippings onto city streets. This is part of Fountain City’s beautification ordinance #71, Section 71-12 and is enforceable by ticket.
The ordinance states:
- Grass and weeds must be maintained at a height not exceeding 7 inches.
- Grass clippings may not be deposited onto city streets. Doing so creates safety hazards for vehicles and bicycles, as well as stormwater issues.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keepingour community safe and beautiful!
