4th of July Fireworks Reminder – Know Before You Light! As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, the City would like to remind everyone of our fireworks safety ordinance to keep the holiday fun AND safe for all!
Within city limits, it is NOT allowed to use or discharge:• Firecrackers, sky rockets, Roman candles
• Toy or cap pistols, air rifles
• Fire balloons, toy cannons, or explosive devices
• Any fireworks or materials used for dangerous displays
This also applies to ALL public areas, including parks, playgrounds, and other recreational spaces.
What IS allowed?The only exception is for official fireworks displays that are:
Authorized by the Mayor Approved by the Common Council Held in designated locations
