ABSENTEE VOTING -NEW DEADLINES AND REQUIREMENTS!

On Tuesday, April 7, 2020 our polling place will be open as usual. However we still STRONGLY encourage absentee voting for public safety and the safety of our poll workers. Per a federal court ruling issued yesterday there are changes to absentee voting deadlines and witness requirements.

HAVE YOUR BALLOT MAILED TO YOU – Requesting Absentee ballots be mailed to you has been extended through today, April 3, 2020. You may make your request online at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ or at City Hall.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT – You may still vote in person at City Hall through Sunday, April 5, 2020 however you MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY.

RETURN YOUR BALLOT – The deadline for receipt of absentee ballots is extended to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2020. You are strongly encouraged to return your ballots as soon as possible.

WITNESS REQUIREMENT – The witness signature on the absentee ballot certificate is not required if the absentee voter provides a written affirmation or statement that they were unable to safely obtain a witness certification despite reasonable attempts to do so.
